Our loving Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Uncle, and Friend, Clint Guffey passed away January 31, 2023 in Provo, Utah. Clint spent his early years running wild in the foothills of the Salt Lake Valley. He loved to slap leather and get western as he enjoyed spending time with those close to him.
Clint married his “hot mama” Jodi and they have spent over 30 years making memories and enjoying adventures together. Jodi brought to the union 2 boys and together they added 2 sweet girls. Clint has always had a love of big trucks and wanted to be like his Dad and Big Brothers and drive them. Thanks to “the Queen” his dream came true and he got his first driving job with Hugoe Trucking. He then got the opportunity to drive with Richard at Praxair and all 3 Guffey Brothers spent many years together in the oilfield. Since 2007 Clint had the opportunity to enjoy owning his own truck and was leased to ITL for many years. He ended his trucking career with Pathfinder.
Clint enjoyed spending his time with family, camping, riding horses, shooting guns, and taking the grandkids on side-by-side rides. He also enjoyed the Wendover trips he and Jodi had with Kathy and Wally. His best times were spent around the campfire with family and good friends, as he told his bad jokes just to try and make everyone laugh. He was always quick to smile, the first to lend a hand, and was a friend to everyone.
Clint is survived by his wife Jodi, children: James, Amanda (Brayden), and Hailee, brother Richard (Rauni), sisters: Kathy (Wally), Carrie. James (Carol) Newman. Grandchildren: Lindsey, Max, Garrett, Destiny, Charlotte, Estelle, Phoenix, and Harmony, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins that he loved.
Clint is preceded in death by his parents Jerry & Norma, brother Kenneth, step-son Matthew, and grandparents.
