Clifford Johnson

Clifford Leo Johnson, age 81, of Lapoint, passed away October 7, 2016, at his home.
He was born June 15, 1935, in Ioka, to Lewis and Helen Gertrude Anderson Johnson. He married Thelma Verna Wilson, they later divorced, but remained friends until her passing.
Clifford was a career United States Air Force veteran. He worked in the explosive ordinances disposal division for over 30 years, being stationed mostly in Japan, but serving during the Korean War. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and being in the outdoors. When he was younger he worked in the timber industry.
He is survived by his children, Mike Johnson (Bernette Lucero), Roosevelt; daughter, Deborah Johnson; 6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren with one on the way; brother, Larry "Bud" (Judi) Shelton, Lapoint; sisters, LaRae (Kelly) Brown, Vernal; JoAnn Grant, Duchesne; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Lewis and Arnold; and a brother-in-law, Jim Grant.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at the Roosevelt Memorial Park with military honors by the Roosevelt American Legion post #64 and the Patriot Guard Riders.
