On November 5, 2019, our loving son, brother, uncle, grandson and friend, Claine Gordon Peterson, age 21, of Duchesne, unexpectedly passed away.
He was born on December 2, 1997 in Cedar City, Utah, to Travis Claine Peterson and Karen Lynn Jenkins.
As a little boy he loved pocket knives, singing, the mountains and going fast. As he grew into an amazing man, he still loved all of those things, as well as fishing, camping and he learned to play the guitar. He wanted to become a diesel mechanic. Most of all, he had the biggest heart. He was so loving and caring of everyone who knew him. He put everyone's needs and happiness before his. He loved to tease, laugh, and play jokes. He loved spending time with his family, friends, and his dog, Dixie. He dearly loved his nieces and nephews and loved spending time with them – and of course teasing them. To them he was their “Hero”! We love and will miss you, Claine.
Claine is survived by his parents Karen L. Jenkins (Kelly Wilkinson), Duchesne; Travis (Melanie) Peterson, Duchesne; sisters, Ashlie (Jesse) Schmidt, Nebraska; Shalee Peterson, Murray; brothers, Chase (Chris) Stelling, Salt Lake City; Brennan (Beckie) Stelling, Kansas; grandparents, Marliyn Peterson, Idaho, Karen E. Jenkins, Riverdale, Mel & Charolette Allen, Duchesne; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his two grandfathers, Gordon Peterson and Kenneth Jenkins.
Per his wishes he will be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2019, at the Duchesne County Centennial Event Center 60 West 400 South, Duchesne. There will be gathering at 12:00 noon with the memorial service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Luncheon following for family and close friends.
