Christopher Littlewhiteman, age 53, of Ft. Duchesne, passed away September 16, 2021, from an apparent heart attack.
He was born February 11, 1968, in Pine Ridge, South Dakota, to Everett Littlewhiteman and Madelyn Rose Fasthorse, and he was a proud member of the Oglala Sioux Tribe. He attended high school at the Intermountain Intertribal boarding school in Brigham City until it shutdown. He then attended Sherman Indian High School in Riverside, California, where he graduated.
He married Jennifer Eve Parriette on October 31, 1990, in Ft. Duchesne at the Bottle Hollow Resort. She died September 12, 2020.
Chris was an EMT for the Ute Tribe Ambulance, a job he was proud of and thoroughly enjoyed for almost 15 years. He and Jennifer also had a food stand at their home and at the Haunted Woods during the Halloween season. He was a kind, giving, and gentle soul who enjoyed the outdoors and refurbishing homes. He loved his cats, especially, “Rocket.”
He was a devoted and loving husband and father who will be deeply missed.
Chris is survived by his son, Joshua Littlewhiteman, of Ft. Duchesne; his father, Everett (Bonnie) Littlewhiteman, South Dakota; siblings, Vincent Littlewhiteman (Tonya Eoffey), South Dakota; Greg (Geanna) Littlewhiteman, West Wendover, Nevada; Madelyn Joan Littlewhiteman, South Dakota, and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jennifer; his brother Edward Littlewhiteman, and his mother, Madelyn.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021, at the Hullinger Mortuary in Roosevelt. There will be a (wake or viewing) on Thursday (time).
Burial will be in the Ft. Duchesne Cemetery.
