Christopher Royal Cook, age 64, of Roosevelt, passed away January 23, 2022, at his home from a sudden heart attack.
He was born September 14, 1957, in Murray, Utah, to Martin Lee and Elaine Matson Cook. He married Debra Lynn Smith on December 12, 1984, in Sandy, Utah. He served his country proudly in the United States Navy.
Christopher was a millwright at the Kennecott Copper mine, and laid cable for TCI Cable for several years. He worked hard and was proud to be able to make it possible for Debra to not have to work outside of the home. He enjoyed fishing on the Provo River, and lately spending time with his grandkids – imparting his great wisdom to them! He was stubborn, but an extremely punctual man – “If you’re not 30 minutes early, you’re late.”
Christopher is survived by his wife, Debra, of Roosevelt; children, Anthony Martinez, Sandy; Rachel Cook (Brian Pace), Riverton; Stephen Martin, West Jordan; Alex (Keelie) Cook, West Jordan; Matthew (Raul) Cook, Salt Lake City; 12 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild; siblings, Scott (Theresa) Cook, Murray; Valerie (Rex) Giles, West Jordan; Marianne Orullian, Murray; Shawn Cook, Murray; Kimmerlee (James) Johnson, Murray; David Cook (Ladea Carlon), Taylorsville; sister-in-law, Suzy Cook, West Jordan; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Lance Cook; grandchildren, Dayton Cook, Aleah Pace; a brother, Terrie Lee Vanacek; his parents; and a brother-in-law, Kevin Orullian.
Per his wishes, he was cremated and there may be a memorial service at a later date.
