Cheryl Jean Hatch, Age 69, passed away August 20, 2017 at her home in Littlefield AZ. surrounded by loving family.
Cheryl was born March 20, 1948 in Roosevelt, Utah to Jimmie and Neva Smith. She married Donald “Shorty” Hatch June 6, 1972. He died December 3, 1993.
Cheryl was born and raised in Duchesne Couny. She had 3 boys that were her world! They were also born and raised in the Uintah Basin. She owned and operated the Hilltop Bar and Café located on Hilltop, just off of Highway 40 in Uintah County. She worked very hard for most of her life, and enjoyed camping and being in the Book Cliffs with her boys and husband Shorty. Some favorite pastime activities were horse racing, camping, fishing, gambling (Bingo and Deuces Wild) and the occasional sip of the hooch…
Cheryl is survived by her children, Stephen (Jamie) Brown, Bryon (Carie) Brown and Donald (Crystal) Hatch and 3 step children, Rob, Sandra, and Patricia. Sisters and brothers, Rosemary Larsen, Jamie (Burke) Lindsay, Logan (Pam) Smith, Kathy Smith, and Kristine (Mike) Kofford, and closest friend Cheryl Williams and her loving pet Polly Poo. She is also survived by many grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband, Shorty (Donald) Hatch, father, Jimmie Smith, mother, Neva (Atkinson) Smith, brothers, Raymond Smith and Roger Smith.
Graveside Services will be Friday August 25, 2017 at 11:00 am at Roosevelt Memorial Park. A viewing for immediate family and closest friends will be held at Hullinger Mortuary from 10:00 - 10:30.
