Charles Van

    Charles Van, age 82, of Roosevelt, passed away May 20, 2019, at the Parkside Manor.
    He was born December 11, 1936, in Ft. Duchesne, to Alfonzo “Doc” and Virginia Zamora Van.
    Charles was raised on a ranch.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, doing leatherwork making saddles and belts, being in the outdoors, and gardening.  He had a very dry sense of humor and lived a simple life.
    He is survived by his children, Charilyn (Gary) Scholes; Benito “Benny” Van; Scott Van; Gina Van (Milton) Miller; numerous grandchildren; sisters, Dora (JJ) Herrington; and Shirl (Dean) Christofferson.    
    He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Virginia Ann Van; and siblings, Peter Van, Chester Van, Sonny Van, and Glenis Van Murray.  
    Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at the Tridell Cemetery.
