Calvin Hamilton

Calvin Joe Hamilton of Tabiona, age 43, was born December 30, 1972 to Thomas and Diane Hamilton, in Roosevelt. He passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully, at his home in his sleep on January 13, 2016.
Calvin grew up in Altamont where he loved riding his motorcycle, playing baseball, and being mischievous with his friends. At the ripe-old age of 12, Calvin learned how to drive truck for the first time over Indian Canyon from his dad and loved it! Calvin saw and knew much of the country from driving over the road. He later moved to Salt Lake, and lived many years out on the Wasatch Front where he worked as a Grader Foreman and Truck Driver.
He married his soul mate and best friend Kerri Jo Gines on September 6, 2003. They had two children together: Calvin Joe Hamilton, Jr., born on June 11, 2007 and Jojoe T. Hamilton, born on March 15, 2011. Calvin loved his family above all. They meant everything to him. You could not have found a more proud dad anywhere. His ultimate goal was to make them happy and provide for them anything and everything they wanted.
He began hauling crude oil out of the Uintah Basin in 2002, and in 2007 started his own trucking company. His life long dream was to own his own truck. He made lots of friends hauling crude oil.
Calvin was a quiet person who never had a lot to say, but once you got to know him, you learned that he was a happy, kind-hearted, giving person, who loved his friends. He would've given the shirt off his back to anyone dear to him.
His time on Earth was short. He will be deeply missed and is survived by his wife; Kerri Jo Hamilton, daughter, Briana Hamilton; son, Brandon Hamilton; step-daughter, Sabreena Givens; step-son, Kaleb Givens; son, Calvin Joe Hamilton, Jr.; son, Jojoe T. Hamilton; grandmother, Lucille Childs; mother, Diane Hamilton; sister, Rosean Watkins; brother, Tom Hamilton; brother Frank (Franny) Hamilton, many in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was lovingly welcomed and preceded in death by his father, Thomas Hamilton, and many grandmas and grandpas.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 18, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Tabiona LDS Chapel. Viewings will be held on Sunday evening at the Hullinger Mortuary from 6 - 8 p.m. and Monday at the church 1 hour prior to the service.
Burial in the Tabiona Cemetery.
