Byron Tomlinson

  
Byron Arthur Tomlinson, age 74, of Gusher, joined his family in Heaven on December 12, 2019.
He was born on April 1, 1945, to Arthur and Ila Fay Hatch Tomlinson in Vernal Utah. He married Veda McKowen on October 10, 1964, and was the proud father of 5 beautiful children.
Byron started working as a cowboy at the age of 15 in the Book Cliff mountains, where he worked for Willis Stevens and Jim Tomlinson learning to treasure the wide open spaces and the wisdom of the cowboy life.  At the age of 19 he began working in the oilfields of the Uintah Basin, Colorado and Wyoming where he made many wonderful friends and acquaintances. He was owner and partners with Leon Richens in Action Hot Oil for over 20 years and valued his hard work and friendship. Byron loved visiting with his family and friends, hunting, fishing, team roping and chasing wild horses. 
Byron is survived by his wife Veda; children, Lesley (Stanley) Orcutt, Wendy (Larry) Walker, Bonny Tomlinson, Burns (Martha) Tomlinson. Brothers Bud (Sue), Jack, Von (Josephine) and sister ReNae Hardinger. Twenty grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren (with two on the way). 
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Ila Fay; and his son, Rusty Byron Tomlinson.
Funeral services will be held at the Hullinger mortuary in Roosevelt on Monday December 16, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation will from 10:00 to 10:40 am a
Interment will take place in the Roosevelt Memorial Park.
