Brooks Brock Chapoose Perank

    Brooks Brock Chapoose Perank, age 37, of Ft. Duchesne, started his journey May 19, 2021, in Ft. Duchesne.
    He was born December 22, 1983, in Roosevelt, to Amos Perank McCurdy and Connora Chapoose.   His companion was Victoria Manning for the last four years.
    Brooks worked in construction, was on a campsite cleanup crew for the Fish and Wildlife Department, and was on the U&O fence crew.  He also helped with setting up the Sundance grounds every year.  He was a talented artist and enjoyed skateboarding, playing softball & basketball, camping & fishing with his brothers and sisters and children.  He was a great father and loved his kids very much.  He was a giving person who lived a humble and simple life.  His partner in crime was Brock, and also enjoyed hanging out with his best friends Marshall Jack and Nicholas Manning.  
    Brooks is survived by his children Odis Atwone Checora-Chapoose, Logan Chapoose, Noran Chapoose; parents Amos (Myla) McCurdy, Whiterocks; Connora Chapoose, Ft. Duchesne; siblings, GeoLuNat (Shelvin) Ladd, Ft. Duchesne; Wass Chapoose, Yellowstone Subdivision; Rainee Chapoose, Ft. Duchesne; Brock Chapoose, Yellowstone Subdivision;, Daniel Santio, Ft. Duchesne; Rachel Shore, Ballard; Samantha Shore, Vernal; Tara Shore, Ballard; his other parents, Betsy & Sam Shore; nieces and nephews, Brooke, Gavin, Nathan, Branson, Hailey, Noelani, Arriyani, Lanie, Spencer, Jason, Ethan, Jonny, Lorene, Nick, Hunter, Jaxon; and granddaughter, Aubrey.
    He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Kenneth & Nataline Santio, Amos Sr. & Nettie Myore Perank, Ina Lou Chapoose; brother, James Shore; nephew, Patrick Chapoose; aunt, Augustina Santio; cousins, Andrade & Angela Santio.
    Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at the home of his mother, Connora Chapoose (5390 E 1335 S), in Ft. Duchesne.  He will be taken to his mother’s home on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. for a wake.  
    Burial will be in the Randlett Cemetery.
