Brandan "Sparky" Mathews

      Brandan Dee Mathews, age 42, of Roosevelt, passed away June 13, 2023, at his home.
    He was born May 12, 1981, in Logan, Utah, to Kerry Dee Mathews and Amy Audrey Richens.  He married Shaunna Rae Pierce on August 27, 2013, in Roosevelt.
    Brandan worked as a welder in the oil field.  He enjoyed riding dirt bikes and  gardening.  He loved taking his son fishing anywhere there was a body of water and riding 4-wheelers.
    He is survived by his son, Chevey Dee; his wife, Shaunna; his parents, Kerry Mathews; Amy (Gerald) Compton; a sister, Matt Compton; two step-brothers, Chris & Jeff Compton; and many aunts, uncles, and other relatives.  
    Brandan was preceded in death by a brother, Ryan Mathews; a step-brother, Bryan Lee Compton; and uncles, Steven & Sherman Richens.
    Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Roosevelt West Stake Center (50 S Skyline Drive) with a visitation that morning at the church from 9:30-10:45 a.m.
    Burial will be in the Altamont Cemetery.
