The funeral service will be live-streamed here. Our beloved wife and mother, Beverly Ann Taylor Haws, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family, on May 26, 2024, after a year long battle with cancer.
Bev was born in Salt Lake City on January 10, 1949, to Gene & Opal Taylor, the only girl in the middle of three brothers - Warren, Roger and Scott. She attended Skyline High School and later met her sweetheart and best friend, Donald A. Haws through a mutual friend on a blind date. They were married on April 4, 1969 and later sealed in the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - Jordan River temple on May 22, 1982. She served in many callings and loved serving in Young Womens and with Don and the scouts. Their gift of service has left a lasting impact on the youth and the people they served and served with, in each of these callings and opportunities. Bev was very talented and had many interests that they shared together. She loved everything ‘outdoors’ from showing and riding horses, fishing and hunting big game. But her greatest and most favorite adventure was being a mom and grandma. It started with their three children - Tony, Tim, and Tiffany, followed by her grandchildren (4) and great-grandchildren (2).
Bev was special. She loved everything that had a heart beat and had the most amazing hugs. She loved you as her own and would invite you in. Her home was a safe and fun place for her kids and their friends where they all loved being even now into adulthood and with their children that call Bev ‘Grandma,’ too. Her laugh was contagious and she would cry from laughing, gasping for air and clutching her chest. She worked hard and played hard. Her life revolved around her family and animals. Bev is cherished and so missed...but never far from her family and loved ones. What a sweet reunion for her to be with their parents and Tiffany again.
She is survived by her wonderful husband, Don Haws, and children - Tony (Mindy) Haws and Tim (Michelle) Haws and Justin Castillo (Amy), her grandchildren Camille Johnson, Preston Haws, Kiya Castillo, Alexis Simpsons, Nakesha Steadman, Scottie Redmond and great-grandchildren Chantelle Johnson and Ariel Johnson.
She was preceded in death by Don’s parents, Donald D. Haws and Evelyn Purton Haws, her parents, Gene and Opal Taylor, her brothers Warren Taylor and Roger Taylor and their daughter, Tiffany Haws.
