Betty Keller

    Betty Jean Longworth Keller, age 86, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2017 at her home in Tridell, Utah.
    Betty was born February 17, 1931 in Huntington Park, California to Arthur Devoe and Clara Lula Shaffer Longworth. She married George Dewey Ashbey on February 18, 1949. She had 3 children by that marriage. That marriage ended in divorce and then she married Ernest V. Keller. They adopted a son. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in various positions.
    She loved to dance and became an accomplished dancer in ballet and tap. Her other talents were sewing, crafts, and genealogy.
    She is survived by a sister, Gayle Longworth McDonald, Murrieta, CA; four children, Audrey Ashbey (Gordon) Merkley, Tridell; Stephen R. Ashbey, Corcoran, CA; Arthur C. Ashbey,  Jurupa Valley, CA; and Michael J. Keller of Bakersfield, CA; 7 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest V. Keller, parents, 4 brothers, and 1 sister.
    Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Tridell Chapel. Viewing will be 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Tridell Cemetery, under the direction of the Hullinger Mortuary.
