Betty Becerra

    Betty Joyce Haas Becerra, age 68, of Roosevelt, passed away March 4, 2015 at her home.
    Betty was born December 2, 1946 in San Francisco, CA to Arnold and Mary Edith Mosley Haas.  She married Adolfo Becerra, later divorced.
    Betty had a wonderful talent working with ceramics, through the years she owned and operated two stores.  She liked dancing, going on road trips, collecting many things and her jewelry.  She was proud to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed her friendship with many of the members.
    The family would like to give a special thanks to Kim Slater, and AJ LoneHill for the 24 hour care that they gave Betty the past few months, thanks also goes to the Uintah Basin Hospice workers and Betty’s friends for the time and compassion.
    She is survived by her son, Junie Lucas, siblings, Carol (Gene) Steindorsson, Dann (Joni) Haas, Jerry Haas, grandchildren, Brian Lucas, Theresa Lucas, Anthony Tod Lucas, Mason Hunter Lucas, and step-daughter, Estella Becerra.  
    She was preceded in death by her parents, sons, Troy Anthony Lucas and Tod Byron Lucas.
    Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Roosevelt East Stake Center.
    A viewing will be held that morning from 10:00 - 10:45 a.m.
    Cremation will follow services.
