    Bettina Tom, age 57, of West Valley City, passed away February 17, 2021, in a care center in Orem.
    She was born December 1, 1963, in Roosevelt, to Glenn Tom, Sr. and Phoebe Faye Atwine.  She had been companions with Ronald Termunde, Emerson Serawop, Gregory Manheimer, and Dennis Charley, Sr. and separated from all of them.  She married John Montoya and they later separated.
    Bettina was a strong-willed, outspoken, yet kind, sweet, and funny person who loved her children and grandchildren and would do anything for them.  When she was younger, she enjoyed playing sports.  She was unable to finish school because she had to take care of all of her younger siblings.  She was very close with her father and often told stories about him.  She helped anyone that she could, and was very traditional in her spiritual beliefs.  She loved animals and her dog, Princess, was her pride and joy.  Bettina was small, but packed a big punch!
    She is survived by her children, Mary Serawop, Draper; Jay Carlos Montoya, WY; Dennis Tom Charley, Copperton, UT; Brenda FayAnne (Kelly) Ortiz, West Valley City; grandchildren, Anthony Exidous Gregory Willis, Amriel Manheimer, Maurlee Mae & Niyaha Rye Serawop; Carmen & Carlyn Tanner; siblings, Paulette Tom, Ft. Duchesne; Valorie Kilen, Whiterocks; Donavan Tom, Whiterocks; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.  
    She was preceded in death by her sons, Karl Serawop & Arlo Manheimer; parents; a sisters, Denise Tom, and Lisa Tom
    Funeral services will be held at the Hullinger Mortuary on Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. There will be visitation on Monday after 1:30 p.m. and on Tuesday beginning at 9:00 a.m.  The service will be live-streamed at www.hullingermortuary.com
    The burial will be in the John Harmes Cemetery in Whiterocks.
