Austin Angus

Austin Douglas Angus, age 25, of Duchesne, known by all as "Aussie" or "Aussie Man", passed away unexpectedly on June 11, 2015, at his home.
He was born November 21, 1989, in Roosevelt, to Douglas and Tamera Hackett Angus.
Austin was a kind hearted, quick witted, smiling, happy person that was always concerned for others. He was a talented computer tech who did work for anyone who asked - often charging them for only the cost of replacement parts. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and shooting guns. He also had a fondness for hummingbirds and would watch the various feeders that he hung outside.
He worked for and was a manager at McDonald's in Roosevelt, China Star in Duchesne, and Convergys and Fidelity in Cedar City. He would have stayed in Cedar City, but he was such a "home-body" and was so close to his parents, that he moved home as soon as possible. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a strong testimony of the Gospel. He earned the Duty to God award and achieved the Eagle Scout rank in Boy Scouts. He held the office of Elder in the Melchizedek Priesthood.
Austin loved and adored his nieces - he spoiled them rotten!
He is survived by his parents, Doug and Tamera Angus, Duchesne; sister, Ashley (Chet) Clayburn, Bridgeland; half-sister, Shiree Benda, New Brownsville, TX; Nicole Angus, Austin, TX; nieces and nephew, Kyle &Taylor Benda; Gracen Young, Maddilynn, Abbigal, Isabella, & Macinly Clayburn, Brinly Angus; aunts and uncles, Rock & Loraine Harrison; Barbara Davis; Kent & Kathy Hackett; Ron & Linda Hackett; and R. Kent Angus.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Crystal Hackett; Clifford & Clista Angus.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 19, 2015, at 11:00 a.m., at the Duchesne LDS Stake Center. A viewing will be held at the church on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and from 10-10:45 a.m. Friday.
Burial will be in the Bridgeland Cemetery
