Ashton Taylor Murray, age 23, of Neola, passed away November 7, 2022, at the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born January 21, 1999, in Roosevelt, to Jane Ashley Redfoot and Julius Tecumseh “JT” Murray.
Ashton worked as a roustabout in the oilfied near Escalante, Utah. He was an avid hunter, and enjoyed ice fishing, fishing, trapping, antler shed hunting, traveling, and being in the mountains. He had a great fondness for big, loud trucks, and was a good mechanic. He loved being with his family, especially his son. He leaves behind his big dog, “Krodus.”
Ashton is survived by his companion, Jade Murdock; his son, D’Ki Murray; parents, Jane Redfoot, Neola; Julius (Alrita) Murray, Ft. Duchesne; grandmother, Lois Murray, Whiterocks Road; great-grandmother, Gladys Pawwinnee, Hilltop; siblings, Brandon Murray (Lacy Wallace); Deon Murray (Kali Cuch); Talia Murray (Coyt Cox); Trigger Quilt; Reelize Murray; Canelo Murray; Nya Murray; Beau Arrowchis; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Julius Murray, Debra Chapoose, LeGrande & LeAnn Redfoot, and his dog, “Leonidas.”
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at the Ft. Duchesne Cemetery. There will be a wake after 4:00 p.m. on Friday at his mother’s home, 2132 W 8950 N, Neola.
