Ashlyn Thompson

    Ashlyn Lanae Thompson, age 33, of South Salt Lake City; passed away June 12, 2023, at the Utah Valley Hospital in Provo from complications of a short illness.
   She was born May 3, 1990, in Roosevelt, to Nathan Seth Thompson and Deljean Redfoot.  She went to Job Corp where she received her high school diploma and certificate in the Culinary Arts.  
    Ashlyn worked as a dietary manager for Pine Creek Rehabilitation and nursing home, and she loved all of the patients and clients she worked with  – they were like her second family.  She worked in the culinary field for 13 years.  She had a very big heart and was the #1 Auntie!  She enjoyed traveling, cooking, and, when she wasn’t working, staying home with her cat, “Sophia” and her kitten, “Nessy.”  She loved spending time with her friends and family.  
    Ashlyn is survived by her mother, Deljean Libby, Roosevelt; step-father, James Libby, Washington; siblings, Alexis (Adam) Rogers, Joints Base Lewis, McCord Washington; Delilah Libby, Kaitlin Libby, both of Tumwater, Washington; Brandon & Bianca Thompson; numerous nieces and nephews, grandpas, grandmas, uncles, and aunts.
    She was preceded in death by her father, Nathan Seth Thompson; sister, Clara Thompson; grandparents, Marvin & Carlee Redfoot; Rose Leslie, Leonard Thompson, Sr.; and her beloved cat, “Simon Johnston,” that she’d had for seventeen years and passed on only two weeks before she did.      
    Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 14, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at the Randlett Cemetery.   There will be a wake at her mother, Deljean’s residence located at 4260 N 3000 W, Roosevelt.
