Anthony Andy Begaye

Anthony Andy Begaye, age 49, of Neola, passed away February 16, 2023, at his companion’s home in Ft. Duchesne.
    He was born January 12, 1974, in Tuba City, Arizona, to Andrew Begaye and Mattie Haskie Lee.  He was companions with Eugenia Tom.
    Anthony enjoyed fishing, camping, and helping anywhere and every where he could.  He was a jack-of-all-trades, working around the house fixing and bettering things.  He recently took up drawing.  
    Anthony is survived by his children, Anton Trey Begaye, Trevor Andy Begaye, Amanda Begaye; Eugenia’s children, Keenan Taveapont & Riahnno Granado; his mother, Mattie Lee, Vernal; siblings, Lovenia Haskie (Gilbert Ortiz), Arizona; Virlissa Lee (Timothy Parker, Jr.) Hinshaw, Dusty Lee, Allyison Lee, all of Vernal; Cameo Lee, Neola; and numerous nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his brother, Lane Lee, his step-father, Virgil Lee; his father, Andrew; grandparents, Elaine & Robert Hank Lee; Isabelle Johnson, and Joe Haskie. 
    Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Neola Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  There will be a viewing that morning at the church beginning at 10:00 a.m.
    Burial will be in the Neola Cemetery.
