Anne Goodrich Daugherty, age 74, of Vernal, passed away October 23, 2023, at the Landmark Assisted Living.
She was born February 24, 1949, in Vernal, to Earl Byron and Maude Wooley Goodrich. She married Ted Lee Daugherty on September 15, 1969, in the Logan Temple. He died July 17, 2021.
Anne was a wonderful mother and homemaker. She was a talented singer and performed in choirs, musicals, and directed “Road Shows.” In her later years, she had a passion for genealogy and loved connecting people – both on paper and in real life. All of her daughter’s friends called her, “Mom.” and she loved it. She enjoyed sewing and was very industrious: she could upholster, can anything, and even laid her own carpet. She was a member of the Daughter of the Utah Pioneers, served in her community and her daughter’s schools. She was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in various callings. She had a great fondness for animals, especially cats.
Anne is survived by her daughter, Meghan (Cody) Mecham; grandchildren, Kailani, Tanzie, Olivia, and Declan, all of Vernal; brother-by-choice, Ricardo (Susan) Trejo; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted; her parents; and sisters, Gwen Hollingworth, Jean Winterton, and a stillborn sister, Gayle.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 30, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at the Hullinger Mortuary. There will be a viewing prior to the services beginning at 12:00 noon.
