Angela Maria Santio

    Angela Maria Guzman Santio, age 38, of Tijunga, California, formerly of Ft. Duchesne, died March 2, 2020 from a auto-pedestrian accident in Los Angeles California.
    Angela was born on October 26, 1981, in Alturas, California to Andrade Santio, Sr. and Bonnie Barlese.  She was raised by her grandparents, Kenneth and Nataline Santio, and her uncle Lionel Tahreep in the Richardson Subdivision.  From there she went to school at Todd Elementary, West Jr. High School, and then Riverside Indian School in Anadarko, Oklahoma.
    She married Rene Guzman, Sr. Together they had 3 children: Claudia, Lilyana, and Rene Jr.  They later divorced.
    Angela was outgoing and free spirited, and grandpa’s “Boweavel”. She would call home and let us know where she was at from here to there: Salt Lake City, UT; Denver, CO; Portland, OR; Seattle, WA; Las Vegas, NV; San Francisco, CA; Houston, TX; Albuquerque, NM; and wherever else she would be.
    Angela is survived by her children, Claudia Guzman, Bountiful, UT; Lilyanna Guzman, and Rene Guzman, Jr., both of Roy, UT. Parents, Andrade Santio, Sr., Hilltop; and Bonnie Barlese, Seaside, CA.  Siblings, Francisco Santio, Draper, UT; Sergio Santio, AJ Santio, both of Fort Duchesne; Charles Lee Santio, Seaside, CA; Chanel Barlese, Vernal.
    She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Kenneth and Nataline Santio, and Ernie and Edith Barlese; brother, Andrade Santio, Jr.; relatives, Victor Macias, Richard Barlese, Ernie Barlese, Tracy Barlese, Anita Schacker, Janet Vargas, and Warner Barlese.
    Graveside services will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2020, at 10:00 AM at the Ft. Duchesne Cemetery.  There will be a wake on Friday after 5:00 PM at her father, Andrade’s, home, 1066 S 5100 E, Hilltop.
