Alma Helms

    Alma Jean Helms, age 82, of Duchesne, passed away on March 15, 2023 at her home with her family by her side.
    Alma was born March 21, 1940 in Laprote, Colorado to Everett Daniel and Claire Thomas Fausett.  She married the love of her life, James Edward Helms on December 20, 1957 in Laramie, Wyoming.  He died March 24, 2012 after 54 wonderful years of marriage.  She missed him everyday and is now by his side.
    Alma loved gardening and always had a beautiful yard.  She was a very patient person who would do anything for anyone.  She and James owned and ran an art gallery for many years and Alma enjoyed making picture frames.  She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend who delighted in spending time with her family and watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren grow and learn.  She made wonderful baby quilts, which she shared with many.  She had the opportunity to see the Northern lights many times through the years and loved the many shades of color.
    She is survived by her children, Danny Helms, Floyd Helms, Jamie Casey, Nina Helms, and numerous grand, great grand and great-great grandchildren.
    She is preceded in death by her husband James, grandson, Chad Casey, siblings, Lee Fausett, Bud Fausett, Helen O’Robinsen and her parents.
    She will be cremated and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
