The funeral service will be live-streamed here.
Alice Glines Warren, age 84, of Neola, UT, re-joined her Heavenly Father on Friday, the 24th of November 2023.
She was born on September 13, 1939, to Charles Henry Glines and Blanche LaZelle Kitchen. She was the third of six children.
Alice was a happy child with long, blonde hair that her mom would braid into pigtails. For a brief period of time her family moved to Bingham where Alice had the dubious distinction of being hit by a car. Alice survived this brush with death. The family moved back to Tridell under the red hills that she loved so much.
On her parents’ small farm, Alice learned the habits of hard work, sacrifice and
responsibility - traits that she carried with her for her whole life and passed on to her five
children. She fed chickens, milked cows, chopped holes in the frozen canal for water,
cooked, canned, sewed, and doctored animals.
Alice was baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at the age of eight. She married the love of her life, Max Warren on Sept 9, 1956, they were sealed in the Logan, UT Temple on January 17, 1963.
In Max, Alice found someone who could keep up with her. Together they raised five children; Lana, Deanne, Blane, Kenny, Shelly - and Kevin. They moved a couple of
times, rode horses and motorcycles, and settled into life in Neola like a granite
cornerstone. She lived there until the day she died in her own bedroom, surrounded by
the multitudes of her loving family.
Members of the LDS Church, after the rigors of raising a family have passed, commonly go on a mission. Alice’s whole life was a mission and instead of going afar she began nursing school in Roosevelt at the age of 50. This was the start of a 24-year career of caregiving in her community at Ashley Regional Medical Center. In addition to this, Max and Alice devoted 13 years of their lives as Temple workers in the Vernal, UT Temple.
Alice touched many, many people. For years, if you called the Warren house and got the answering machine, you would get a voice that said, “you’ve reached the Warren’s where we fix everything, feed everybody and love everyone. So if you need fixing, feeding, loving or whatever, leave a message and we’ll get back to you”.
Alice will be remembered by most people as a cute little lady in scrubs or an apron.
Always busy, always working, always loving, always Alice.
She is survived by her five children, Lana; Deanne (Paul) Quick; Blane (Patricia); Kenny (Mary Jo); Shelly, again - and Kevin; 23 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, 11
great-great grandchildren.
