In 1967 she and Jim opened Jim's Furniture and Supply, where for over 15 years they sold appliances, furniture, and hung drapes in many of the homes in town.

After retirement they traveled all over the world together, visiting the Caribbean, Hawaii, Europe, the Panama Canal, Canada, Alaska and set foot in each of the 50 U.S. States.
She loved spending time with her siblings, their families, and her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She stayed very involved in their livesa€"attending ball games, dance and tumbling recitals, and motorcycle races on a regular basis. She loved the Utah Jazz, and had a more competitive side than many might believe.
She took great pride in taking care of her yard. She was recognized by the Roosevelt City Beautification Committee twice for her beautiful yard where she worked daily up until her last few days.
